A says.....have a nice day :)

Before I begin, Black beauty here you go ;) told you, wouldn't have to wait long for it.

Sitting in the Design Studio, lately my second home, well its the finals week what can you say; working on the Albuquerque railroad project, Starbucks coffee and my beloved ipod keep me company. A simple message from my friend gets me thinking, are people actually worth our time and effort ? You deal with their shit, clean up after them, hang out with them, live with them, study with them, shop with them, have fun, go clubbing and yada yada! At times you stop to wonder, whether you actually matter in their life, know where you stand! How fake can people be? Super friendly on face, but total bitches behind their backs! I mean do they really matter or their opinions? Makes one second guess themselves.

A super awesome friend of mine once told me, dear A"the world is much bigger than the college, this city, the people you are around everyday, so don't worry or feel bad if people are not responding to you. Look for something new. Life is not too long, there are many people to meet, many places to see and lots to do." This is what keeps me going. Also there will be a time when something/someone, very important to you right now, might sound stupid to you or have lesser meaning in the next six months and you would end up wondering why it/he/she was important in the first place. Trust me I have experienced it. If its worth it do something about it and what goes around comes around :D.

So go out, get busy, give yourself time, go for a walk, dance, skip, sing, click random pictures, write, watch a chick flick, my personal favorite is sipping on a venti Hazelnut Mocha at my favorite Starbucks at Larimer, in the seat besides the window, reading and people watching, paint your nails, shop!!! Stop thinking and screwing your head! Don't wallow in self pity, shit happens!! I am sure it ain't easy and we all will wallow in self pity for a while. Talk to people who matter as there are plenty even if you don't realize that now, there always are! We always hear never take people for granted and never get taken for granted, but life doesn't work that way, IT HAPPENS, ACCEPT IT.

On a more cheerier (is that a word? well I didn't get a red dotted line under it so I am assuming it is :p) note, one of the best things about coming to America, everyone you meet smiles at you, doesn't matter if you know them or vice-versa, they will ask you hows it going, will not expect anything but a smile in return, and there 100 % chances of hearing have a nice day at least five times a day. Heck even the bus driver bids us a goodbye and wishes us a good day, sure he/she may not mean it, required courtesy and all, but hey you don't know that, you just get to hear it and with a smile. So no matter how crappy the day is going, a smile from a stranger, a have a nice day brightens its all!

And ending it on a more inspiring/happier tune, Chumbawamba- I get knocked down.

I get knocked down,
But I get up again,
You're never going to keep me down.

He sings the songs that remind him,
Of the good times,
He sings the songs that remind him,
Of the better times.

I get knocked down,
But I get up again,
You're never going to keep me down.

Thank you AG for sharing the song with me :)
So think of the good times, think about the better times, am sure it will bring a smile on your face!
Well that's all for now, A has things to do ( read design crit), places to be and people to meet ;)
Have a nice day :)
